Our development services team has decades of experience assisting clients through the pre-construction phase of aviation and on-airport development. We have in-house tools to draft preliminary concept design alternatives and budgets to evaluate a project efficiently. Our expedited process reduces upfront costs and risks to assess feasibility.
Jurisdictional Approval and Entitlements
The jurisdictional process can often substantially threaten efficient aviation development if not handled properly. Understanding municipal stakeholders, vetted construction documents and well-procured submittal process is critical to reducing schedule delays and costs. Our project managers are keenly astute in the intricacies of this process. Budget, Schedule, and CD Development Oversight

Our Team Members have substantial experience bidding and negotiating contracts with general contractors and trades. Many of our Team Members have spent years sitting on the contractor's side of the table during this often complex process. This valuable experience allows our Team to critically evaluate and compare contractor budgets, apples to apples, assessing both value and cost when making recommendations. Our understanding of construction contracts reduces future liability, ensuring our clients have minimized project exposure and risk.
Construction Oversight
The construction phase of development brings another level of challenges and obstacles. It's imperative to have an experienced team overseeing this process. Having an agent attend and advocate at OAC meetings and double-check contractor work is essential to a successful outcome. A proactive approach to project oversight will help minimize mistakes and costly change orders, reducing schedule overruns and budget creep.

Barry Sherman is an owner and principal of the Business Aviation Group, having more than 25 years of experience in the commercial development, design and construction industry as a senior executive and business owner. He has extensive experience in the planning, design and construction of aviation hangars, FBOs, ROM facilities and similar industrial commercial-type projects in locations across the country valued up to $25 million.
Kendra Taylor
Kendra has 15+ years of project management experience in tenant improvement design and development. She worked at Worksuites, adding 23 spaces, leading a rebranding effort, and expanding into new markets. Kendra holds a PMP certification. She also enjoys volunteering at her son’s school and spending time outdoors in Colorado with her family and their German Shepherd, Maxine.
