[Denver, Colorado, March 24, 2021] — The Colorado Aviation Business Association (CABA) will host its 14th Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Applewood Golf Course in Golden, CO. Player sign-in is at 6:30 am and play will begin with a shotgun (scramble) start at 7:30 am. The event is open to the public.
Special prizes include a $10,000 Hole-In-One, $5,000 longest putt, longest drive, and closest-to-the-pin holes. New this year will be the Best-Themed Hole for sponsors: players vote for the hole with their favorite theme, and the winning sponsor will receive up to $850 in credit for a hole sponsorship in next year’s tournament.
Held since 2008, proceeds benefit the CABA Scholarship Fund, administered under the CABA Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity providing financial assistance for young professionals pursuing a career in the aviation industry with a focus on business and general aviation tracks. More than $50,000 in scholarships has been awarded since its inception.
The Foundation provides educational events, opportunities and pathways for workforce development. All aviation-related career paths are eligible, including pilot, aircraft maintenance and repair technician, cabin crew, scheduling & dispatch, and airport management.
The golf tournament has been held at various golf courses around the Denver Metro area including Legacy Ridge, Inverness, Green Valley Ranch, Black Bear, and Lone Tree.
