June 23, 2026 – New York City

SR Aviation Infrastructure (“SRAI”), a subsidiary of New York- and Nashville-based real estate investment and development firm SomeraRoad, today announced plans to partner with Business Aviation Group, LLC (“BA Group”) to develop a premier aviation campus at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (“BJC” or “RMMA”) in Broomfield, Colorado. The project, to be known as SRAI Rocky Mountain, will feature a 7,500 square-foot FBO, with 70,000 square feet of hangar space. On completion, the facility will be leased and operated by Jet Aviation.
The development represents the initial phase of a broader aviation campus on the south side of the airport and is expected to establish a new center of aviation activity serving the Denver-Boulder corridor. SRAI is leading the investment, development, and long-term ownership of the project, working alongside BA Group, which is serving as master developer for the broader south side campus and overseeing site strategy and development execution.
“Partnering with Jet Aviation and BA Group on SRAI Rocky Mountain reflects our platform’s continued focus on aligning with premier operators and development partners in high-growth markets,” said Jonathon Reeser, President of SR Aviation Infrastructure. “Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport provides a compelling entry point into a robust private aviation market with limited available hangar supply. This project underscores our commitment to delivering institutional-quality facilities that meet the evolving needs of private and business aviation.”
The facility will join Jet Aviation’s global network of some 30 FBOs worldwide, including 12 in the US, offering efficient entry into the surrounding Rocky Mountain metropolitan and leisure areas.
“With its proximity to both the city and surrounding ski areas, Rocky Mountain Airport continues to grow as a key hub for our US and international customers,” says David Best, Jet Aviation’s senior vice president regional operations & GM Americas. “The facility will join a network of 12 FBOs in the region, and some 30 worldwide, enabling seamless connections for customers traveling to this popular destination. We look forward to working closely with our partners, the airport and the local community, to design and build a world-class FBO that brings our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and seamless, personalized service to Colorado.”
“This project represents a meaningful step forward for Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport and the long-term development of the south side of the field,” said Iver Retrum, CEO of Business Aviation Group. “With Jet Aviation as the anchor FBO and SRAI joining as our partner, this campus has the opportunity to establish a new gateway for aviation activity at BJC.”
Located approximately 18 miles from downtown Denver, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport is a high-traffic general aviation hub benefiting from strong regional demand drivers, including population growth, corporate activity, and proximity to major leisure destinations such as Aspen and Vail. The south side of the airport is emerging as a key area for future aeronautical development, supported by recent infrastructure improvements including Taxiway K.
SRAI Rocky Mountain is expected to anchor this next phase of development, providing modern, purpose-built facilities designed to accommodate a wide range of aircraft and aviation users. The broader site also offers additional capacity for future aviation and aviation-adjacent development as demand in the market continues to expand.
